Gosport summer passport 2008 did taster days of fishing at Fort Brockhurst.
From this a group of young people got together to form a fishing project based at Brune Park Youth Centre.
The group was successful in applying for YOF grant to buy fishing equipment and training for 10 young people.
The fishing equipment is avaliable to hire out for a minimum charge.

The young people attended a weeks fishing course at the carron row fishing site in tichfield and we have photos of this event.
The courses for the fishing course are an excellent oppurtunity for young people who wish to start fishing, on some of the longer courses, the young people will each get their own free fishing equipment as long as they commit yourself to the full course and dont just pop along for 1 day.
I have personally done the course myself and the people who run it are extremely kind and helpful, the course isvery fun and teaches you alot about fishing if you are new to fishing like i was at the time of this course.
