Leesland Park

After last years exciting upgrade of some of the skate park facilities young people are looking forward to the second phase of developing the park. Gosport Youth Team and Leesland Friends with help from Groundwork Solent are applying for a grant up to £100,000. If successful the park will gain new playground facilities for young people under 13, develop some of the open spaces in the park area aswell as replacing existing metal skate ramps.

Recently the skate park was visited by a well known BMX champion, Mark Webb, this was a fantatstic day (all be it cold) with many young people having the chance to meet a big name in BMXing and practice with him. Mark spent time demonstrating his riding skills and encouraging young people.
