Thankyou all for being patient with the new design of this website. we are currently trying to get as much information on whats going on in Gosport which you as young people will want to know. we will be letting you know about the Leesland and lee on Solent Skatepark developments, whats happening with the new transport bus link to Fareham, gosports BMX track , Holbrook re development and update you on issues that effect you.
We are also wanting to re introduce the FUSE magazine so will be asking for young people to put themselves forward as reporters , photographers, columnists and cartoonists. Fuse is a celebration of the talents young people have within Gosport and it will be young people writing on issues and features you are passionate about.
So watch this space, we need your views on the transport issues and you have a chance to win £10 if you complete our online survey as well just to get you started.

I am delighted to report that new play equipment has been installed and opened in Walpole Park and the new learner skatepark has been open for a few weeks now in Elson recreation ground. This is being extensively used by young people, who had asked for a learner park for them to practice in, before trying the bigger pieces of equipment in Lee and Leesland Park.
New play equipment is also being installed near the BMX track.
The BMX track is being enlarged ready for a national competition taking place later on this summer, complete with spectator facitities and new starting gates. The club have worked very closely with Groundwork and the council to make this happen.
£22,000 has been made available to keep St.Vincent swimming pool open as it was propsed to shut it on the 31st July. Many community groups and schools use this pool. Hopefully with the continued support this community pool will remain open. |
